The Instructor

Sabrina Palacio is a self-taught artist and entrepreneur born and raised in Queens, New York. At seventeen, she took her ideas and creativity to acrylic paint on canvas. With social media, Sabrina created a brand developing acrylic paintings, t-shirts, hats, sneakers, murals, and more. She still offers custom-commissioned work and you can inquire here. In the spring of 2016, A1Art was born. Sabrina developed The A1Art Show as an event space to cultivate creativity and entrepreneurship among fellow creatives. Over nine of these events, Sabrina showcased her A1Art work and collaborated with poets, lyricists, singers, and artists cross New York City. In 2019, The A1Art Paint & Sip classes began. Without a studio, Sabrina provided private traveling classes & virtual paint and sip classes. After the pandemic, and slowly as the city got back to normal, the demand for in-person paint classes grew which led to the grand opening of The A1Art Studio in February 2021.

The A1Art Studio is a Latina-owned small business in Brooklyn. In February 2021, we opened our doors offering fun and interactive painting classes for all ages (cannabis-friendly for adults). You read that right! You can smoke while you paint. All classes are beginner-level, so no experience is needed. All art supplies are included in your ticket and snacks, non-alcoholic beverages, and hookah is available for purchase in the studio. We are a BYO (bring your own) studio, encouraging you to bring your own drinks and cannabis to our classes. Classes are about 2 hours long and take place every weekend. Private classes and events are available to book daily here. Join us for a creative, stress-free vibe!
